Not packed closely.intercellular space -nt.allow gaseous exchange.

Living cell, nucleus+nt.

Vacuole+nt dense cytoplasm.

Function-store food,fill space between other tissue.temprory support to the plant.Transport materials. Store waste of plant such as tanin,gum,resin, crystal.

If chloroplast+nt it performs photosynthesis called Chlorenchyma.

IN hydrophytes (hydrilla) large air cavity +nt in parenchyma called Arenchyma.

Characteristics-

Contains living cells.

Cell are elongated & thickened with cellulose at the corner.

Intercellular space+nt.

Provide mechanical support to the plant organ .

Occurrence-Below the epidermis of dicotyledons.In leaf stalk.

It helps leaves and stem to bend without breaking.

Provide support protection flexibility to plant organs -nt in root.
